Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time to take a Mommy & Me class?

We have moms attend the Mommy & Mini-Me class as early as 2-3 weeks postpartum. It is completely up to you. We always offer the option to join on Zoom until you feel ready to come in.

What do the classes look like?

Each class starts with a check-in followed by the weekly topic presented by the specialist. It is an informal class where moms can comment and ask questions at any point.

What if my baby cries during class?

Every baby WILL cry at some point during class. Babies will pee, poop, eat, cry, laugh and that’s all OK. This is a safe space.

Do you offer make-up classes?

Our classes are 10-weeks long and you are grouped with moms in the same age category. The class is designed to help you create friendships and bond with other moms. Therefore, no make-up classes are offered. Zoom is always an option.

What if my baby isn’t vaccinated yet?

Most babies don’t receive their first set of immunizations until 6-8 weeks. Majority of our moms enroll sooner than that. We prioritize the health of all moms and babies and ask that no one attends if feeling sick or has been exposed to someone sick.

Where do most moms live that attend classes?

We have moms attend our classes who live in South Orange County including Mission Viejo, Ladera Ranch, Rancho Santa Margarita, Laguna Hills, Rancho Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, San Clemente, Dana Point, Irvine, Aliso Viejo, San Juan Capistrano, Orange and other cities nearby.

What is your refund policy?

Please email us at orders@themommycenter.com for a refund 7 days before class starts.

Do you offer payment plans?

If you financially cannot afford the full payment at once, we do offer a payment plan of 2 or 3 payments. Feel free to email us at info@themommycenter.com to request a payment plan.

What if I have a different parenting style than the instructor?

Our goal is to offer you evidence based information for you to decide what parenting choices you want to make. It is up to you as to what advice you’d like to keep and which you’d like to toss.

What if I can only attend part of the series?

You can always email info@themommycenter.com with your personal circumstances and we may be able to offer a discount for the missed weeks.

Who teaches the classes?

All of our instructors are highly qualified professionals with extensive training and background in postpartum and child development. Our speakers include licensed marriage and family therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, pelvic floor physical therapists, postpartum doulas, lactation consultants, social workers, ASL teachers and so much more.

When is the best time to register for the Mommy and Me class?

You can register when you are pregnant.

Do you offer scholarships?

We offer full and partial scholarships to moms in need. If you need financial assistance, email info@themommycenter.com with your circumstances.

Can I come to class without my baby?

This is YOUR time. You are always welcome to come with your baby or without. If you need a break and would like to come alone, it is always welcome.

Can I bring my older child with me to class?

We understand that sometimes childcare is not available. Unfortunately, we do not allow older siblings in class. Our priority is to keep everyone healthy and we have a limit on how many people we allow in the studio at a time.

Are masks required in class?

We follow all CDC and OC health guidelines. At this time, masks are not required. If the guidelines change, we will update our mask policy.
